Dean Borghi Fine Art is pleased to announce WARHOL, a solo exhibition featuring the works of Pop Art artist Andy Warhol. The exhibition will be on view at our gallery located at 529 West 20th Street, New York city, New York - 6th Floor from March 28, 2019 until May 1, 2019. An opening reception will take place on Thursday March 28, 2019 from 6 – 8pm.

William’s legacy and exploration lives on in his work, long after his passing. In this show, the works on view show his talent and appreciation for his craft as well as his constant exploration on pushing the boundaries of what an artist can do with their canvas and how to create their work. Much of the later work on display, show the strong connection Williams had to Brazil and leaves us questioning what his work could have looked like and evolved into if he didn’t tragically die before his move to the country.

" "Purple Noon" is the fabulous but cold range of colors in which the murder is comitted. Only the blazing sun seems to have witnessed what happened; she stays unchanged in her beauty and cheerfulness. The clear and sharp shapes of the film's images mirror the repellent characters in it. The idiosyncracy of this rigid noon and the distinctiveness it gives to the protagonists almost necessarily call for a collapse in a cruel deed. It is the noon of emotional collision; emotions become interchangeable but the conflict that connects them - the correlation of imitation and actuality - remains unveiled."
