Cuban artist, with a Chinese father, who worked with a unique style consisting of a combination of abstraction, cubism and surrealism, inspired by his Afro-Cuban heritage. Living in Europe he was in contact with some of the most renowned artists of the 20th century, including Leger, Braque, Joan Miró and Picasso, who count him as a supporter and a very good friend. He is one of the most eclectic painters in the world, and also played with mediums such as sculpture and printmaking.
